On Friday 28th June, Len Thomson representing the Australian Men’s Shed Association, along with Merv Holliday, Bob Sullivan and Ken Strobel, attended the opening of the Yarraman Men’s Shed.

The official opening was performed by the Hon Deb Frecklington, Leader of the Opposition in Queensland.  The event was attended by representatives of the local Council, Bendigo Bank who made a $4,000 donation and representatives from other local Sheds and of course, many locals.  The Shed is a re-purposed Forestry Commission workshop, made available by the Queensland Government, following 2 years of negotiations.
